‎ Allegations of betrayal, corruption, and political double-dealing have now taken center stage — and the district registrar is not holding back

‎In a press briefing held this morning at Garden Hotel in Apac Town, the NRM District Registrar, Mr. Bonny Ojaa, responded fiercely to accusations leveled against his office by political activist Mr. Patrick Obonyo.

‎Mr. Obonyo had earlier accused Ojaa of abuse of office, corruption, and sidelining grassroots mobilizers, claiming that favoritism was rampant within the party’s local structures.

‎But Mr. Ojaa hit back, saying those making noise are disgruntled individuals who were not part of previously delegates in the NRM CEC elections hel in kololo but wanted to be included.

‎He dismissed their claims as baseless and called them, in his own words, “rubbish”, asserting that they were unwanted elements within the party cec election.

‎Mr. Ojaa also issued a stern warning to anyone found to be pretending to be loyal to the NRM while secretly backing opposition candidates will face legal action.

Meanwhile, Mr. Obonyo, a self-declared strong NRM supporter, has openly declared his political stance — and it’s raising eyebrows.

‎He revealed that he will support three candidates in the 2025/26 elections — including NRM’s Betty Engola for Apac Woman MP, Moses Opeto for Maruzi Constituency, and notably, Patrick Ocan of the UPC party for Apac Municipality.

‎His declaration has further fueled speculation over internal divisions within the party, raising questions about loyalty, party discipline, and the future of NRM’s dominance in Apac District.
