WE WANT RHINO CAMP IN LANGO-PARAMOUNT CHIEF LANGO

Nakasongola,Uganda|The paramount chief of Lango Eng. Dr. Michael Moses Odongo wants the government to construct a Rhino Camp centre in Lango for proper keeping of it since the poachers are killing them.
While addressing the gathering organized by Uganda WildLife authority at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola during a fundraising drive organised for keeping Rhino species in Game parks in Uganda.
He said UWA should come out and construct this centre in Lango so that it will help the lango cultural institution in getting money since Amuka is very important in Lango and it will give avenue for Lango so see them physically.
Odongo Okune said lango at large are not happy after the report from Uganda wildlife authority saying in Uganda at large the number of Rhino is very few since poachers are killing them day and night looking for their horns.
He cautioned Ugandans most especially the poachers to be careful and they must stop killing the Rhino since it is very impot in lango culture.
Executive Director of Uganda Wild Life Authority Dr. James Musinguzi said in Uganda there are only 50 Rhinos beside in 1986 Uganda had only 6 Rhinos means they are now multiplaying.
High commissioner of Britain Lisa Chesney assured the people that it’s very important to take good care of Rhino in Uganda for tourist attraction.
He requested Uganda wildlife to take good care of these animals from poachers since it’s needed in Uganda as part of tourism.
