Lango clan has started mobilizing money to support less previiledged children.

Kwania,Uganda|Ogora clan has started mobilizing their members to contribute money to support education of less priviledged children.

The pronouncement was made 8th.Sep.2025 by the secretary education and health of the clan, Joel Ayeni who spoke on behalf of the clan head , Canon Richard Ogwang Odyero during the send of a retired teacher, Joe Ogwal Jogo in Akuni village, Ongoceng parish Aduku subcounty Kwania district.

He said they came up with an initiative to strengthen education of learners in the clan especially bright ones whose parents can’t afford to pay school fees.

Ayeni said the project dubbed” Ogora trust fund” is intended to get financial contributions from well wishers in the clan across different regions and the money will be used to support the education of such children.

He added that the project will provide effective solution to the high cases of school drop out and improve on the quality of life of youths for a bettter future.

Charles Agea, the clan chief of Ogora clan for Kwania North expressed dismay on the rampant cases of domestic violence among the clan members.

Agea said the vice is common because of poverty and rampant cases of alcoholism among some couples which makes it hard to harmonize such families in case of violence.

He therefore called for unity among clan leaders and members to help reduce poverty and conflicts in households.

Meanwhile, seminarian Brian Okello Ogola who led the mass on behalf of the Parish priest Aduku Catholic Parish, Rev. Fr. Rodgers Okello called on parents to prioritize the education of their children.

Okello urged male children to consider joining priesthood and other relevant leadership roles in the church to serve God.

He thanked teachers for their efforts in educating learners and called for unity and love among Christians if they are to have eternal life.
