President Museveni recently addressed a rally in Apac District, emphasizing the importance of wealth creation alongside government development projects.

He highlighted that development, which includes infrastructure like roads, schools, and healthcare facilities, is crucial, but wealth creation at the household level is equally vital for prosperity.

On Wealth Creation: Museveni stressed that wealth creation is the real battle, encouraging households to engage in productive activities to increase their income.
On Parish Development Model (PDM): He cited the success of the PDM, which has empowered local farmers like Apio Piki from Lira District to transition from subsistence farming to commercial farming, thereby improving their livelihoods.
On Infrastructure Development: The President also highlighted the government’s efforts in infrastructure development, including road construction and upgrading, such as the Dokolo to Namasale road.
On Education and Healthcare: Museveni pledged to increase the number of teachers to eliminate shortages in government schools and abolish illegal school charges.
