Lira city,Uganda|Number of parents are still roaming looking for school requirements for the learners.
The survey done by LCC this afternoon within Lira city shows that the number of learners is still within different localities.
Within Lira city parents and guardians are moving around with different means looking at how to take their sons and daughters to school.
This survey from different parts of the city shows that the greater percentages of means within the city are Motorcycle and Bicycle though the pushers are also moving around with others.
Ambrose Okello the Director Light City Junior School Anai told our reporter that the school has so far received almost 99 percent of the learners though other learners are yet reported.
Okello told our reporter that the parents of the school are so cooperative, which leads to the good turn up of the learners.
He assured parents of the positive result at the end of the year, concerning candidates he assured parents that the school is ready to produce good citizens that will serve the country.
Light City Junior School is one of the schools that always give positive results to the nation most especially that give the good reputation of lira city council in terms of best results.
Nationwide strike declared by the Uganda National Teachers’ Union (UNATU) has disrupted the reopening of Government schools across the country.
The strike commence on 15 September 2025, is part of UNATU’s demand for salary increment for categories of teachers excluded from previous government pay rises, however the private schools that are not affected.
