MAGEZI APPLAUDS LOCAL LEADERS,CALLS FOR STRONGER SERVICE DELIVERY.

The Minister for Local Government Raphael Magyezi has appealed to Chief Administrative officers to task all Government workers not to participate in any strikes as their unions negotiate with the public service on their raised challenges.

IMPERIAL,UGANDA|The Minister for Local Government Raphael Magyezi has appealed to Chief Administrative officers, Town Clerks and Municipal Town Clerks to task all Government workers not to participate in any strikes as their unions negotiate with the public service on their raised challenges.
The Minister also appreciated the CAO of Kayunga who played a pivotal role in the District by fighting absenteeism ,he has asked other CAOs to take the same route.
The minister has also appreciated the Leaders for working with the ministry in implementing Government projects such as the Local Economic Growth Support Project(LEGS),National Oilseed project (NOSP)among others.
The Minister also extended his congratulations to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni upon his nomination as a presidential candidate for the 2026 elections.”
He said these at the first Quarterly Meeting of the CAOs, Town and Municipal Clerks at the meeting organized by the Ministry of Local Government at Imperial Royale Kampala.
Government teachers across the country are still on strike demanding for a salary increment.
