The territorial police in Apac District are holding a lady identified as Nankebe Susan aged 32 yrs old for safe custody, she’s a business lady (bar business)called Nayanja bar located in Nabiswera Trading centre and a resident of the same place in Budyebo County in Nakasongoa District.
Speaking to LCC TV and Radio Jimmy Patrick Okema Police public relations officer for North kyoga said the victim was abducted by unknown people on Saturday 6th Sept 2025 from Rwabiata village, Rwabiata Sub-County in Nakasongola District while she was on her way home from Nalukonge SDA Church in Rwabiata.
The victim confirmed to the police That two men were in vehicle that she was unable to identify the number plate and she was on her way from church heading home, grabbed and put her in the said vehicle where she found two other ladies with their faces covered and immediatey her face was also tied but before that she saw a pistol on the co-driver’s seat.
They were driven to unknown place in a house where they have been staying six ladies who are all victims.
That they have been forcing them to use their phones to talk to their relatives to demand for money and for her case, the abductors were demanding for six millions Shillings.
All their phones were being kept by the abducters.
Fortunately today the 8th Sept 2025, she managed to escape away when they were taken outside to bathe, she ran on a lesu/half dressed and she kept on asking for the nearby police until she found herself in Apac CPS.
She confirmed not being mistrated or beaten although they don’t give them food. She is currently at Apac CPS and efforts are underway to transport her back to Nakasongola.
Of late this has become a common methods people are using for survival means, we call for vigilant and timely reporting such that we get those culprits.
