Diocese of lango,Uganda|The Diocese of lango have written a letter to disown some letters circulating on social media giving the order that no catholic should talk at any event being presided by Anglican.
In the letter dated 12th.september,2025 signed by diocessan secretary Diocese of lango Hudson Ogwali has stated clearly that the diocess is not aware of such letters that are full of propaganda that can cause permanent enemies between the catholic community and the Diocese of lango.
Ogwali state six point that make Diocese of lango to be very far from the letter,among the key point Ogwali said Diocese of lango doesn’t have Rev Canon James Okaka apart from The Very Rev Ven,James Okaka who is the not just the Provost but a Bishop’s commissary and Archdeacon Boroboro Cathedral chapter.
Ogwali in the letter seen by Lcc reporter said the diocese doesn’t belong to any political affiliation apart from the Inter Religious Council of Uganda.
He assured the public that the Church of Uganda doesn’t have any Diocese called ” Lango diocese apart from Diocese of lango” in the letter Ogwali said the letter is for the Lango Diocese not the Diocese of Lango.
According to the policy issued by Hudson ogwali he said no archdeacon communicates diocessan policy position to another archdeacon nor parish priest except the Bishop or Administrator of the Diocese.
Ogwali asks the public to treat the letter as FAKE and it’s not inaccordiance with canon law that governed the church of Uganda.
He further advises all candidates and politicians to play politics that unites our people aware that God determines the leader for a given season.
